It is hard to keep up with the explosion of research in the field. But now there are hundreds of measures that attempt to do just that, he added. Cure extends beyond physical symptoms to address social and spiritual aspects as well.

In a world dominated by a culture of consumption, religion offers a venue for individuals to commit to something beyond themselves, in addition to empowering the community, Healing and Religion. Alexander Rocklin's talk is about the ways in which Caribbean practitioners of "Hindu magic" sometimes called Health have used ritual healing to create solidarities between ethno-racial and religious groups who were typically thought to be separate and mutually exclusive.

What has faith got to do with it? The traditional healer interviewed my dad to establish the facts leading to his illness. Users of traditional faith healers service explained that society mostly stigmatised and victimised them for not using formal healthcare services but rather opted for Traditional faith healing modality: Many people in my neighbourhood do not want to come close to me because I visit spiritualists on health issues.
