99 Classic Cartoon Critters brings you the swinging Hepcats. More depth and less breadth would have made a much better read. Please discover time travel and send it to third grade me!

but this book, while marginally interesting, just left me feeling blah about the whole thing.

Daring Dames Spotlight: Lady Luck

99 Daffy Dames is back with a full blown Color Special! They jammed far too many women into the book so that there's no Daring Dames to go into detail about any of them. I like seeing how the uppity changes throughout the time periods. She exemplifies tireless leadership in her domestic responsibilities. A final irritation were outright historical inaccuracies; for example, claiming that Niccolo Machiavelli wrote The Prince for Catherine d' Medici is simply inexcusable in a history book.

She graduated from college and found an advertising job in Detroit. Plus, an exclusive fan art gallery. Catch some of the extra adventures of the catgirl superheroine, Kitty Daring Dames.

Daring Dames in Women's History

Worse than that, there's several women who don't have ANY reason given as to why they're included in this book. On June 1, 1937, she left Miami with navigator Fred Noonan, Daring Dames to become the first woman to fly around the world. However, I felt like this book frequently came off as extremely flip about the suffering these women experienced, especially when it came to enslaved women like Sally Hemings.

There are so many good biographies on great women throughout history that I would say start with Daring Dames book if you want, but be prepared to go searching beyond this book for more information if you are interested in any of the women. With this courageous and bold act Bly cemented her legacy as one of the foremost female journalists in history.
